About Adamo Joya
In 1998 my mother started Holly Cottage nursery as she couldn’t find the right child care for my little sister Kimmie. She wanted a place where her child was put first, where they learn and where they have fun. That was when Holly Cottage was born.
The nursery has always been a constant presence in all our lives, whether that is fundraisers, birthdays. Suddenly our family really started to grow.
The goal was simple, to offer all children the best possible start on their journey of lifelong learning, to ensure that children are happy and cared for at all times.
Childcare was so much more than any of us could ever imagine. There is nothing more important and difficult than putting your most loved ones in the world into the care of others.
Each child is unique, that is why there are no set ages when they move rooms from Baby to Toddler to Preschool.
We create a nurturing, positive and stimulating environment. With so many activities that help the development of sensory skills, social skills, education, school preparation. Lessons in science, construction, arts and crafts, drama, sport, exploring, messy play, circle time, reading. With adventures in top supply and of course, many trips to see animals.
Parents would always ask us, ‘where can we find products that match the decor of our home, that last, that don’t fall apart after one us, that are high quality?’ We never really had the answer that we wanted, but that will never happen again.
Mother would always say to me that baby products were always designed with the baby in mind rather than Mum and Dad (less important). They always had cartoon animals or fruit or dinosaurs, nothing that Mum ever took into consideration when she was designing our family home.
In 2020, after 22 years of working in Childcare, we decided we wanted to do something about it.
Our family has been involved in interior design since 1972, since KB & Sons (My father and Grandfather’s company was founded, who built the nursery at a very reasonable price, for free, other than the cups of tea and pack lunches.
For all those couples that have spent hour upon hour decorating their house, we wanted to create a variety of products that fall seamlessly into place. That you don’t have to tidy away.

We are a real family that wants to do right by you. We want to build a supportive community and we want you to be a part of it. We are not run by a board, by investors, not a large corporate, there are no stakeholders nor stockholders.
We want to create products that you want, because we want them and our doors are always open to hear your feedback and opinions on what you want to see. We are not focused on funding or new market expansion or globalisation, AI, RPA, Trending. We are focused on your needs.
Early parenthood is a supportive network that we want to embrace and enhance. We have poured our heart and soul into this, the journey has been slow and arduous, but we did it together and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
